I have heard these words not once, but twice and I was left speechless in the process. No one else in my family had faced the reality of this incredible life-altering event. No one in my friend's circle had heard these words either. I was alone in many ways. This book is a collection of my thoughts and experiences many of which I have shared with newly diagnosed cancer patients such as you. To this day, I continue in this support of cancer survivors, even though my diagnosis was almost a decade ago. It is not technical in nature that is left to your treatment team. It is intended to be a resource for real life events from me, one person, who was initially told that I had less than 6 months to live. I hope this brings some comfort, and laughter, to you as you read these pages.
