Reckoning

Adam Potter wanted nothing more than for his boyfriend, Patrick Valdez, to move into his apartment to be stress free. But with his reoccurring nightmares caused by a trauma from his past, Adam had to cave in and start seeing a therapist. Patrick's thrilled for the day when he would be Adam's roommate. Only he hadn't yet told his parents. He knew his mother would be happy for him. His father was a different matter. Patrick wants to put his past behind him, but his ex-boyfriends won't stop texting him, even from the grave. Detectives A.J. Chance and Artie Cutter get assigned to investigate a murder in a familiar part of town. The detectives discover the victim had a connection to an old case they thought was closed, involving Patrick Valdez's and A.J.'s past relationships with Detective Adam Potter. A killer is out hunting people down who were involved with Patrick's deceased abusive ex, and Patrick's on the killer's radar. Adam has to keep Patrick safe and watch his own back as the killer gets closer.
