Triangle of Forgiveness

The Divine geometry of love - and forgiveness - is relational. The Lord Himself states, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 18:20) Fr. Nicolae, the elderly Romanian village priest in this engaging work of historical fiction, similarly explains: "Forgiveness works in a triangle. We forgive others; and when we forgive others, we forgive ourselves; and God forgives both." Fr. Nicolae's flock of Communist Romanians know first-hand the temptations of the godless, demon-infested culture they live in. For some, its spiritual oppression sanctifies them as lumps of coal transformed through pressure into diamonds; for others, that same pressure obliterates their human spirit turning them into fleshly kin of fallen angels. For us, this journey through the inner reality of atheistic Romania reveals eternal spiritual truths and brings to the fore the hidden forces still coursing through our modern world.
