The Case of the Missing Pug

Lady Laura Boxford lives with her beloved pug Parker in the retirement complex of Wellworth Lawns, formerly her family home. She has little to worry about as the central heating always works and there's 24 hour room service. One night her comfortable world is shattered when Parker goes missing. Together with her companion Canon Frank Holiday and friends Venetia, Strudel and Jervis, Laura sets out on a desperate quest to find him. Suspicious characters emerge in the seemingly sleepy environs of the care home and Laura soon realises that there are more reasons than she had first imagined as to why a dog might disappear. As the mystery deepens, not only Parker but his would be rescuers find themselves embroiled in an unscrupulous world that they could never have imagined.
