Same Kind of Different as Us: Stories of once Hopeless and Homeless who found their Way Home
(eBook)
Description
Same Kind of Different As Us: Stories of the Hopeless and Homeless Who Found Their Way Home. Five stories of friends who graciously and haltingly told me their stories of how and when they really met God and God met them in their absolute worst and total brokenness, whether it was sexual, psychological, or physical abuse or addictions ranging from pharmaceutical, street, alcoholic, sexual, psychological, philosophical, etc. The resulting lives caught in poverty-stricken scenarios were in human terminology-lost causes or God-forsaken-yet somehow God, time and time again, sent His helpers (through signs and wonders and burden bearers) to help my friends until they were finally able to break their poverty and homelessness cycles. This same God worked in all the different journeys differently, yet the outcome was the same: they were no longer broken, and they wanted to show and tell the world that as He did it for them, He could do it for others!
