Description

Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Book Preview: #1 I liked her, but I was scared of her. #2 I had a horrible girlfriend in high school, and I was thankful to Jesus for her. But she was the worst girlfriend I ever had. #3 I was scared of committing to Kevin, but he was scared of committing to me. We decided to get married, and I said yes. Kevin had all the things I knew were important in a husband: the list many of us make in our heads when we're picturing our lifelong partner. #4 Marriage is a lot different than dating, and it's not all rainbows and unicorns. Expectations for marriage can complicate the real thing. I was so excited to be getting married, and I looked around that church and thought, I'm finally getting married! I'm finally committing to someone! I was excited, happy, and relieved. Then we went to my parents' house for the rehearsal dinner. I knew that my in-laws were going to be there, and I didn't want to deal with that, so I stayed upstairs in our room. It was just the four of us: Kevin, my mom, my dad, and me. I felt like this huge weight had been lifted from me. We were finally in this place together-getting married-and I was ready to have some fun. But instead of playing board games or watching movies, we made out. It was weird; it was uncomfortable; it was kind of hilarious. We were trying to get to know each other, but we couldn't help ourselves. After we got tired of making out with each other, Kevin decided it was time for him to make a move.
