I'm finally committing to someone! I was excited, happy, and relieved. Then we went to my parents' house for the rehearsal dinner. I knew that my in-laws were going to be there, and I didn't want to deal with that, so I stayed upstairs in our room. It was just the four of us: Kevin, my mom, my dad, and me. I felt like this huge weight had been lifted from me. We were finally in this place together-getting married-and I was ready to have some fun. But instead of playing board games or watching movies, we made out. It was weird; it was uncomfortable; it was kind of hilarious.
