Swirls: Six Fun Science Fiction Stories
(eAudiobook)
Description
Dennis R. Hill's original and creative stories will take you on journeys never imagined. In A Second Journey, Marten Stuart discovers a portal to another planet. He is surprised to find that he is not the first human to visit, and they who have already colonized the world are headed on an evolutionary journey of cooperation instead of competition. Will he keep this new world a secret? In Death's Seduction, ninety-year-old Logan Willoughby challenges The Grim Reaper to give him six pre-death adventures. The first five end in harsh terminations of Willoughby's life. Will he finally beat Death during his sixth adventure? In Professor Guinea Pig, Gerald Nash, a medical laboratory aide realizes that he is undergoing medical operations during the night, conducted by mysterious beings. When he awakes, he has no more than a few barely visible scars to prove that his nighttime experiences are real. Who can he trust? Are his smiling and loving colleagues actually his enemies? In a bold move to learn the answer, he finally discovers the truth. In Sherry's Fairies, eighty-one old Joe believes that there are fairies in his late wife's garden. His daughter and son-in-law believe he is becoming senile, and want to move him top a retirement home. Joe fights for his independence, but are the fairies real or only a figment of his imagination? In Spinning Away, James Montgomery finds he is marooned on a moon that has been pulled from its orbit around Earth. On his lonely ride towards Jupiter, he has only a few Guinea pigs to accompany him. What act of valor or value is left for him to perform before being lost in space forever? In The Unisphere Thesis, the super deity, Ghod, creates a universe of forbidden life for his college thesis. His older brother and college professors are not amused. To create living creatures is okay, but not if they become enlightened or empowered through their own development. Will Ghod be successful at preserving his creation?
