Description

Smoky was no dog at all, but a full-blooded Timber Wolf. But Sheriff Roy did take care of his dog which most in the town of Poison Poke called him the 'Hellhound'.Hellhound he could be, if the sheriff was threatened, but most of his time he spent lying on an old leather door mat in front of the sheriff's office watching the town with little interest. At first, Roy's wife, Abigail, did not care for the 'mess maker' as he chewed up or on furniture, rugs given to him to sleep on, or leathers reins left down within his reach. But that all changed as Smokey grew and helped Roy keep the peace. Smokey's mere presence could detour the most hardened outlaw. Abigail noticed the bond between them and the protective nature Smoky had for the sheriff. The dog followed the sheriff no matter where he went, whether it was on the trail of a fugitive of the law or sitting at the office catching up on his paperwork, Smokey was by his side or close by and always watchful.Smoky quickly became a vital part of the sheriff's law enforcement method, greatly respected by the town's citizens, a part of the sheriff's family, and feared by those that threaten the office of the law. I am sure you will enjoy following Sheriff Roy or as most call his "Scattergun Roy" and his dog Smoky as they follow the trail to bring in yet another fugitive foolish enough to try and escape justice with Smoky and Sheriff Roy on their trail. So come and ride along with them in this great adventure of the old west.
