The carnival comes to town, brought by those with needs. It takes many forms and offers many diversions. What happens when a young woman with a tragedy to fix meets the Ticket Taker in this unsettling short story of the weird. First published in the Northwest Independent Writers Association 2018 Anthology. Liam was born and raised primarily in Colorado in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains, lost for a while in the midwest, he currently lives in Oregon with his wife and daughter and too many books crying from the shelves, demanding to be read. He has a Masters Degree in English with a focus on creative writing (yes, come to find out, such a thing actually is possible) and plans to continue on to an MFA or PhD. In the meantime, he has completed his first full-length science fiction novel, Singularity Deferred, and is in the process of finding appropriate hiking boots.
