Seven novels: complete and unabridged
(Book)
Five weeks in a balloon: A scholar, Dr. Samuel Ferguson, accompanied by his manservant Joe and his friend Richard Kennedy, sets out to travel across the African continent--still not fully explored--with the help of a hot-air balloon filled with hydrogen.
A journey to the center of the earth: The story begins on Sunday May 24, 1863, in the Lidenbrock house in Hamburg, with Professor Lidenbrock rushing home to peruse his latest purchase, an original runic manuscript of an Icelandic saga written by Snorri Sturluson. While looking through the book, Lidenbrock, and his nephew Axel find a coded note written in runic script.
From the earth to the moon: It's been some time since the end of the American Civil War. The Gun Club, a society based in Baltimore and dedicated to the design of weapons of all kinds (especially cannons), meets when Impey Barbicane, its president, calls them to support his idea: according to his calculations, a cannon can shoot a projectile so that it reaches the moon. After receiving the whole support of his companions, a few of them meet to decide the place from where the projectile will be shot, the dimensions and makings of both the cannon and the projectile, and which kind of powder are they to use.
Round the moon: Sequel to From the earth to the moon. Having been fired out of the giant Columbiad space ghin, the Baltimore Gun Club's bullet-shaped projectile, along with its three passangers, begins the five-day trip to the moon.
Twenty thousand leagues under the sea: The story of Captain Nemo and his submarine Nautilus as seen from the perspective of Professor Pierre Aronnax.
Around the world in eighty days: The story starts in London on October 2, 1872. Phileas Fogg is a rich english nobleman bachelor living in soliture at Number 7 Saville Row, Burlington Gardens. Later, on that day, in the Reform Club, Fogg gets involved in an argument over an article in The Daily Telegraph, stating that with the opening of a new railway section in Indian, it is now poissible to travel around the world in 80 days. He accepts a wager from his fellow club memebers, which he will win if he makes it around the world in 80 days.
The mysterious island: The adventures of five Americans on an uncharted island in the South Pacific.
