The Pilgrim's Progress from This World to That Which Is to Come is a Christian allegory written by John Bunyan. First published in 1678, it is considered one of the most significant works of English literature and Protestant theology. The story follows Christian, a character representing everyman, as he journeys from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City, which symbolizes Heaven.
