The Scarecrow
(CD Audiobook)
After getting laid off, investigative reporter Jack McEvoy intends to end his career on a high note. He begins to investigate Alonzo Winslow, a young drug dealer who confessed to a murder. But as he begins to pick apart pieces of the dealer's confession, Jack soon discovers that the confession was a fake, and that the killer is still on the loose. Just as Jack thinks he is on the verge of the biggest story of his career, he finds that he may now have the unwanted attention of the actual killer.
